Doctoral Positions
Opening for a doctoral (PhD) position (start date May 2022)
We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with background in cell/molecular biology, or bioengineering, or biomedical engineering to work on a project at the intersection of synthetic biology, gene editing and materials science in one of the following areas: Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, Mechanobioloy. Individuals with: a masters degree in either natural or applied biomedical sciences or related fields, a strong background in chemistry and (or) biology, a demonstrable record of independent work ethic and research experience, and a desire to be part of a cutting edge research in an highly international and interdisciplinary research environment are encouraged to apply. Native (or certified B2) level proficiency in German and working proficiency in English is a must. In addition to research responsibilities the student will also contribute to teaching of undergraduate and masters level polymer laboratory and so basic knowledge in polymer science is desirable.
