Doctoral Studies
The Shastrilab offers an unique environment in which to carryout your doctoral work. With an international research group lead by MIT-trained protége of Prof. Langer, the Shastrilab is a highly interdisciplinary research environment spanning materials science, polymer processing, molecular biology, cancer biology, drug delivery, translational medicine, and 3D-printing. We offer a research environment that is unique in Germany and Europe and is second to none. Through our vast collaborative network with includes some of the most prominent scientists in the world, we are able to incorporate unique perspective into our research efforts and tackle very challenging materials and medical problems. If you are interested in being part of this dynamic team and possess demonstrable research experience and an ability to work independently then we are your FIRST and FINAL destination. Please check here for open positions.

Master Studies
We are excited to welcome students who have a desire to be part of cutting edge research, have their own project (or sub-project) and have an ability and motivation to work independently as part of a dynamic and international team of highly motivated scientists. Please click here for projects.

Bachelor Thesis
We have several opportunities to carryout bachelors thesis research. Due to the short time frame of such thesis effort we only offer projects in polymer processing and applied polymer science projects. Click Here

Apprenticeship/Traineeship
We welcome students of all all backgrounds (high school, Realschule or Gewerbeschule) to inquire about possible opportunities. Thanks to a dedicated group of German-Speaking graduate students with great mentoring skills we have had tremendous success in mentoring high school students.   If you are interested please email Prof. Shastri.
